Burn 800 Calories

Burn 800 calories, your body needs calories to do everything it does; breathing, organ function, everything. It needs more calories the more active you are. This is why exercise is key to weight loss; while consuming fewer calories will help you balance your energy intake with your energy consumed, exercise will help your body burn more calories than it takes in—this will help you to burn fat and lose weight.

Imagine being able to burn 800 CALORIES IN AN HOUR!–that’s more than you ate at your last meal! If you could burn that many calories an hour, you could probably see some serious weight loss in a short amount of time. But is it possible?

Here are a few awesome ways you can burn 800 calories in a single hour:

Swimming

Swimming is an excellent option if you love the water. It will get you in the best shape of your life while being fun and interactive to do. That means doing strokes like the freestyle and butterfly stroke, with breast stroke here and there when you need a little break. Just 45 minutes in the pool will easily burn 800 excess calories just itching to be stored as fat.

HIIT Training

If you do the HIIT intervals right, you can easily burn 800 calories in around 40 to 45 minutes. Better known as High intensity interval training has become very popular among celebrities and doctors because of how it is programed. HIIT consists of a series of intense exercises followed by 20 second breaks. This will get your body burning as many calories as possible.

Boxing

Get in front of a heavy bag and punch, kick, and/or strike the bag non-stop for 2 minutes. Rest for 30 seconds, then go at it again. By the time you reach the end of your hour workout, you’ll have burned those 800 calories like a champ.

Running

Running is part of the best ways to burn unwanted calories. It has actually  proved to be one of the most strenuous yet best workouts of all times. The reason behind this is it works all of your muscle groups at the same time. It can burn around 700 calories or more an hour depending on the intensity that you add to your workout. If you are looking to lose weight this a great way to do so.

Treadmill interval

The difference between running on a treadmill and running outdoors is while you are running on a treadmill you can adjust your intensity and velocity with the simple touch of a button. By changing speeds, inclines, and the posture in which you run (forward/backward) your body is going to be pushed to the max. By changing speeds and inclines, your body cannot adapt and heart rate will thus steadily rise. Mix in all out sprints here and there to really push yourself into the 80-90% max heart rate zone.

Cycling Sprint

This strenuous workout increases your heart rate steadily which requires loads of energy, i.e. calories. Aim to cycle in the 16-19 mph range to burn almost 1,000 calories per hour. Cycling is fantastic for building the muscles in your legs and butt while completely taxing your cardiovascular system. To keep things interesting, try doing 60 second all-out sprints every couple of minutes to spike your heart rate and really push yourself to the max.

Jumping Rope

Jumping rope can help you burn 700-800 calories an hour according to your speed. The faster and higher you jump the better workout you will get. Jumping rope is no longer a kids game it is actually the perfect exercise to tone your body. It will have your blood pumping and give you a full body workout without the need of heavy machines. If you are a beginner when it comes to jumping rope you want to start in 10-20 minute intervals to help you adjust.

Hill Sprints/Stair Climbing

Sprinting not only burns HUGE amounts of calories, it also keeps your metabolism flying for days after. Find yourself a nice big hill (ideally at least 100 feet of clear space to run up). Sprint all the way up. Once at the top, perform 10 reps of a variety of exercises. Take the hill or stairs at full speed, and keep running until you reach the top. Jog/fast-walk down the stairs, and turn around and race back up the stairs. Do this for 20 to 30 minutes, and that’s 800 calories!

Note: recovery occurs within 24-48 hours, adaptation takes longer, usually 72-96 hours after an intense exercise session. By week five you will be operating at maximum intensity, which will require 3-4 days rest for full recovery and adaptation. Plan your training accordingly.
